All-Season Zipper System

The zip-set duvet is really two duvets in one. A lighter 250 gr/m² layer and a warmer 450 gr/m² layer each work on their own — or zip together into a single 700 gr/m² duvet for the coldest months. That's three levels of warmth from one purchase, so the same duvet keeps you comfortable from high summer through deep winter.

Wool bedding isn't rare—you can find it from dozens of brands. But not all wool bedding is created equal.

Here's 5 things that sets us apart from every other brand you're considering.

about this product

How does the ZipSet system work?

The ZipSet comes with two separate wool duvets — one at 250gr/m² and one at 450gr/m² — that zip together along the edges. Use the lightest layer alone in summer, the heavier layer in spring and autumn, or zip both together for a combined 700gr/m² of full winter warmth. One flexible system that adapts across the seasons, with no need to store or swap duvets.

What's the difference between the five ZipSet duvets?

All five use the same ZipSet system — a 250gr summer layer and a 450gr spring/autumn layer that zip together to create a 700gr winter duvet. The difference between them is the cover material, the wool quality, and one special feature for couples.

The Percale ZipSet has a crisp, breathable woven cotton cover — the most traditional and natural feeling of the range.

The Satin ZipSet has a smooth, silky satin cover for a more luxurious feel against the skin.

The Satin Partner ZipSet is the same as the Satin but with an extra zipper running down the middle — letting couples split the duvet into two independent halves so each partner can set their own warmth level on their side of the bed.

The 'Ultimate Best' ZipSet is the premium option, filled with 100% pure double-combed Texel Island lambswool and finished with a 90% Tencel / 10% wool cover — the finest materials in the entire range.

The Washable Wool ZipSet is the practical choice — the only ZipSet duvet that is machine washable, making it ideal for families or anyone who wants the full ZipSet system without specialist cleaning requirements.

How does the Satin Partner work for couples with different warmth preferences?

It's a simple idea that solves a common problem.

The extra middle zipper lets you split the duvet into two halves that work independently.

One side of the bed can have both layers zipped together at 700gr/m² for someone who sleeps cold, while the other side uses just one layer at 250 or 450gr/m² for someone who sleeps warm.

Two sleepers, two different warmth levels, one shared duvet — and no more fighting over who gets too hot or too cold at night.

Are the zippers comfortable to sleep with, and how long do they last?

Yes — the zippers run along the edges of the duvet (and, on the Satin Partner, down the middle), where they sit well away from where your body rests. You won't feel them while sleeping. They're built from durable materials designed for years of regular use, and the layers stay securely aligned once zipped together, so the duvet feels like a single piece rather than two loose layers.

Is a ZipSet really worth it compared to a standard duvet?

If your sleep temperature shifts through the year — or if your bedroom runs cold in winter and warm in summer — yes.

With a ZipSet, you're essentially getting a summer duvet, a spring/autumn duvet, and a full winter duvet in one flexible system, at a lower combined cost than buying three separately. It also saves on storage, since the layers live together on your bed rather than in a cupboard.

About Sizing

(We do not make custom pillows)

About Product Maintenance

Do I have to wash the bedding once in a while?
No. Wool has natural self-cleaning properties, so Texeler bedding requires virtually no maintenance. However, we recommend airing your bedding outdoors occasionally to keep it fresh.

Why can't I wash my bedding in the washing machine?
We strongly advise against machine washing most Texeler products. Machine washing strips away the natural lanolin (wool fat) that gives our bedding its exceptional properties—temperature regulation, moisture-wicking, and antibacterial protection.

Rest assured: all wool is thoroughly cleaned before processing using specialized techniques that preserve the beneficial lanolin.

For daily maintenance: Simply spot-clean any stains as needed or air your bedding outdoors monthly.

Need a washable option? Our Washable Wool Comforter is specially treated to be machine-washable at 40°C without compromising its natural benefits—ideal for families with children or those who prefer the convenience of machine washing.
