Cotton Wool Duvets

Crisp percale cotton meets pure Texeler wool — natural comfort, breathable nights.

What is percale cotton?

Percale is a plain weave cotton fabric with a tight one-over-one-under construction. It produces a crisp, cool, matte finish that is more breathable than sateen and tends to soften with every wash. It is particularly well suited to warmer sleepers or those who prefer a clean, unfussy feel.

Is the cotton cover OEKO-TEX certified?

Yes — all Texeler products, including the percale cotton covers, carry OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, meaning every component has been tested and verified free from harmful substances.

How does percale cotton feel compared to satin or tencel?

Percale is crisp and cool — it has a matte, slightly textured surface. Satin is smoother and has a subtle sheen. Tencel is the softest of the three, with a silky, almost weightless feel. Percale suits sleepers who prefer a traditional, clean bedding feel.

There is something quietly satisfying about percale cotton — the cool, crisp feel against the skin that only gets better with washing. Paired with pure Texeler sheep wool fill, it becomes something more considered: bedding that breathes, regulates and endures.

The cotton wool duvets available at WarmWool use a percale cotton weave — a tight, one-over-one-under construction that produces a fabric that is light, breathable and resistant to pilling. It is the cover of choice for sleepers who run warm, prefer a clean and unfussy feel, and want natural materials throughout.

Inside, the fill is pure Texeler sheep wool — sheared from the Texel Island flock and processed without synthetic additives. Wool regulates body temperature naturally, wicking moisture away from the body and releasing it into the air, keeping the sleeping environment dry and comfortable through the night. Unlike synthetic fills, it does not trap heat — it responds to it.

The collection includes three distinct products. The Multi Choice Wool Duvet is available in four weights — 120g, 200g, 400g and 600g — each with a percale cotton cover and built-in snap buttons on every edge. Snap any two weights together to create a custom warmth level, or use each independently across the seasons. The Percale ZipSet Wool Duvet takes the concept further with two separate layers — 250g and 450g — that zip together for a combined 700g winter duvet and separate for a lighter configuration. The Washable Wool ZipSet brings the same system with the added benefit of machine washability — the only duvet in the Texeler range that can go directly in the washing machine.

All three products carry OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification — tested and verified free from harmful substances at every stage of production.
