Satin Wool Duvets

Silky satin meets pure Texeler wool — luxury you can feel from the first night.

What is a satin cover?

Satin is a weave construction — four threads over, one thread under — that produces a smooth, slightly lustrous surface on one side. It feels silkier and softer than percale cotton and has a subtle sheen. It is not a synthetic material — the satin weave can be applied to cotton or other natural fibres.

How does satin feel compared to percale or tencel?

Satin is the smoothest and most lustrous of the three. Percale is crisp and matte. Tencel is silky and lightweight with a slightly different drape. Satin suits sleepers who want a more indulgent, luxurious feel against the skin.

What is the Satin Partner ZipSet?

The Satin Partner ZipSet has a central zip running down the middle of the duvet, dividing it into two independent halves. Each partner controls their own warmth — one side can be heavier while the other is lighter. Both halves use the same satin cover for a seamless, unified look on the bed.

Is the satin cover OEKO-TEX certified?

Yes — all the satin covers carry OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, meaning every component has been tested and verified free from harmful substances at every stage of production.

There is a reason satin has been associated with luxury bedding for centuries. The smooth, slightly lustrous surface feels immediately different — cooler to the touch than cotton, softer than linen, and with a subtle sheen that elevates the look of any bedroom. When the fill inside is pure Texeler sheep wool, the result is bedding that looks and feels premium without compromising on natural performance.

The satin wool duvets available at WarmWool use a satin weave cover — a four-over-one-under construction that produces a fabric with a distinctly smooth, silky surface on one side. It drapes beautifully and is noticeably soft against the skin. For sleepers who want the natural benefits of wool fill combined with a more indulgent cover material, satin is the natural choice.

Inside, the fill is pure Texeler sheep wool — sheared from the Texel Island flock and processed without synthetic additives. Wool's natural crimp creates thousands of tiny air pockets that trap warmth in winter and release excess heat in summer, keeping the sleeping environment consistently comfortable regardless of the season. It wicks moisture naturally, managing perspiration without the clammy feeling associated with synthetic fills.

The collection includes two products. The Satin ZipSet Wool Duvet combines a silky satin cover with the versatility of the ZipSet system — two separate layers of 250g and 450g that zip together for a combined 700g winter duvet and separate for lighter use through the year. The Satin Partner ZipSet takes this further, with a central zip dividing the duvet in two halves so each partner can have their own warmth level independently — perfect for couples with different temperature preferences.

All products carry OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification — every component tested and verified free from harmful substances.
